Mad like a Hare

Subject: Mad like a Hare Sat Mar 28, 2009 9:05 am

Long brown ears twitched slightly as a young looking hare sat back in his seat, his pale white hair fell before his pale blue eyes. "Mmm Man...is it time for Tea yet?" He asked as he looked to his top hat wearing friend since he was the one with the pocket watch after all.

The top had wearing young man fiddled about with his pocket watch,looking over to his friend,the hare. "It is tea time," he answered. "...Moreover,according to my pocket watch,it's a few minutes past tea time." the mad hatter added.

The March Hare's eyes went wide at that as he sat up in his seat across from the Mad Hatter. "Oh my! That just wont do! We must drink our tea now." He said before he picked up one of his cups and started to pour the tea.

"No,it certainly won't." The mad hatter agreed,picking up a pastry and putting it on his plate.It just didn't make any sense,he set the pocket watch so many times,but it was always fast.

"Maybe we're a bit off after that visit from that strange Alice girl." He said with a nod of his head, after all it wasn't often that they got visits from anyone.

The Mad Hatter nodded in agreement, "That must be it," he commented,taking a sip of his tea once his friend had poured him some.Alice kept insisting that they were strange,but he was certain that it was she who was odd.

"Odd girl she is, not knowing about tea time." He sighed before he picked up a sweet and lightly tapped at one of the ketals that they had at the table. "Mouse, tea time!" He chirpped before he opened the top and dropped the sweet in. "So who's turn is it to do dishes later?" He asked as he buttered up a crumpet.

"Quite odd," The mad hatter agreed,biting into a sweet. "I believe it's mine," he then added,sipping his tea.

The young hare grinned and nodded his head as he took another sip of his tea, the 'March Hare's really name was Ziggy but he just liked to go by March Hare so much more, just like his friend liked to go by The Mad Hatter more.

The Mad Hatter,whose real name was Ethan smiled,putting some jam onto a roll. "I wonder if that Alice girl will...drop in again?" he asked.

Ziggy thought for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders. "She might...unless the Queen gets to her...then there's no telling." He said before pouting slightly and lightly licking his fingers free of some of the honey spread that had gotten on them.

Ethan watched as Ziggy licked the honey spread from his fingers,before he moved closer to the other,and started to lick his fingers.

Ziggy blushed lightly at that before he leaned in and kissed Ethan on the lips. "Thank you Ethan." He said shyly as he looked back down with a sweet smile on his face.

Ziggy couldn't help but giggle softly at that before he lightly nuzzled at his friends cheek. "So what brought this on?" He asked as he tilted his head to the side slightly.

Ethan smiled, "The sight of you licking your fingers looked so inviting,I decided to do it,too." he answered.

The young March Hare giggled at that before he nodded his head. "So you really do like me?" He asked as his little fluffy tail wiggled around a bit.

Ethan smiled, "Yes,I really do." The Mad Hatter answered. "Does that surprise you?" he then asked.

"Well yes...I never thought that that you would like me...it's not often that you meet someone that can over look the bunny ears." He said as said ears twitched around a bit.

Ziggy giggled and blushed at that. "Well there are few people who injoy a good cup of tea like we do." He said with a nod of his head as he leaned in slightly and nuzzled the Mad Hatter.

"Yes,that's very true." Ethan agreed,running his fingers softly through Ziggy's hair.

"I don't think that I could have found anyone better then you Ethan." Ziggy said with a sweet smile on his face before he sat down and started to nibble on a cookie.
