Lisha helped him to get on his way then went upstairs to clean up then she changed into her every day clothes. She quickly jotted out a little note for Jake "I'm afraid I will not be joining you right away when you get home. I have an errand to run then a doctors appointment but I will be back just before dinner. " she requested a maid to give it to him when he came home she had one maid to help her out aroudn the house after all she didn't have enough time to do everything everyday. She quickly moved out the door.

Jake let out a deep sigh for relief as he walked through the door of his home. The day had been long and he had thrown out his voice at his business. Taking over a business from ones grandfather whom had passed was more work then he had thought it would be when he accepted it. He dropped his briefcase into a chair as he opened the door to his office. "God I hate doing this." He sat down in front of his desk and placed his finger to the intercom. "Lisha I need an aspirin if you don't mind." He spoke with his horse voice. He had fired someone for the drug smuggling in his line of products, which had annoyed him that the cops were actually right about something.

No reply came when he made the request, then Lisha's assistant came into the office with a large glass of water and an aspirin along with a note for him that Lisha had left. "Sorry about that Sir and Lisha said to give you this note" she said softly and walked out leavign him be.

A few hours later Lisha walked in through the door her long curly dark brown hair trailing down her back as she headed to her room to clean up and change so she could get back to work. She was a bit tired from the long day or errands and her doctor appointment. She hated doctors they annoyed her. She dropped her bag and coat on her bed and headed to the bathroom turning on the shower.

His voice was too sore to talk anymore. It had been a while since he took the aspirin, and he was now in the kitchen warming himself some hot tea. His head hurt his throat wouldn't make words with them being scratchy. stupid him for thinking he could make tea in his condition. He spilled the water all over himself, luckily it wasn't too hot for his skin.The other maid had gone to her home after reporting that Lisha was back. He slowly walked his soaked body to her door and knocked lightly he didn't hear a reply so he opened the door wondering where she could be. He tried to call for her but quickly grabbed his throat as it hurt him.

Lisha had hopped in the shower when she heard a voice she quickly turned off the water wrapping a towel tightly around her bodice she slowly opened the bathroom door when she saw him she jumped slightly and blushed , she was standing in her bathroom doorway in her towel looking at him he was soaked in water "why are you in here and why are you all wet?" she asked a bit shyly a few strands of wet hair hung in her face but not enough to hide her blush.

He lifted the mug that he normally drank tea out of. A dry hoarse cough came from from his lips, his hands dropped the cough grabbing his throat again in pain. He felt bad about what he did a few nights before to her and wanted to apologize. His body wouldn't let him the dry scratchy throat only prevented him from doing so. Luckily the floor was carpeted so it didn't break when the mug hit the floor. His hands were cold and he felt as though he could catch fire any second. This really wasn't his day.

Lisha quickly pulled on her robe "come in here the steam will help your throat and I will fix you something to help your throat" she said softly pulling him into the bathroom she opened her cabinet and pulled out some cough syrup it would soothe his throat she measured out one dose and gave it to him "here take this" she whispered she walked out into her room feeling a bit strange right now.

He didn't know what to do, he was terrible at taking care of himself. It was something he admired about her she always knew, like the mother he could barely remember. He sat on to toilet after putting the lid down. The hot air was helping though not by much. He reluctantly took the cough syrup, he never enjoyed the taste of them. He drank it down as though it was a shot of tequila though it stuck to the sides of the plastic dosage cup. He groaned sorely as he shook his head trying to get that rancid taste from his lips and tongue. His head slumped against the wall as he continued to take deep breaths trying to get over whatever he had come into contact with. He couldn't help himself he was a child when he was sick.

"I will make you some lemon water next it will help with the irritation then some mint tea will help soothe it further I'm going to close the door while I get dressed." she said softly. Lisha closed the door and pulled on a skirt and blouse quickly leaving her hair down and slightly wet, she knew he was just like a child it was nice to feel needed though. She had always wanted to have some one that needed her but she also needed some one who accepted her which was hard to find. She came back into the bathroom stroking his head softly "perhaps you should lay down."

He tried to stand but as he did so the room spun quickly causing him to lose balance falling to the ground.His head was splitting and it only seemed to get worse. He hated hospitals or any form of medication, what he needed was sleep and not to be bothered by anyone, except those trying to help him. He slowly pushed himself up off the floor and crawled into the nearest bed he could find, hers.

Lisha made the lemon water and a thermos of hot mint tea, she walked over to the bed "here drink this now do it slowly I can't have you choking." she said softly and lightly stroked his head she pulled the covers up over him and went to get a cold cloth to put on his head. He had a small fever "you shouldn't run yourself so hard or you get sick like this" she said softly she looked very concerned.

He sipped at the tea and set it down on the nightstand nearby. She looked like she was about to leave the room so he grabbed her wrist and looked up at her. He coughed slightly and pulled her down back over to him hugging her. He couldn't find another way to apologize, or thank her for that matter. He tried to force a verbally apologize but it still wouldn't come out.

"shhh relax I'm just getting a cold cloth for your head I'll be right back" she said softly and walked over to the bathroom gettign the cold cloth and gently laying it across his forehead "shhh just rest for now you're going to be ok" she whispered she sat on the edge of the bed to watch over him he needed a goodnight rest and some relaxation "I will call the office and let them know you won't be in tomorrow you need to rest so you can feel better" she said softly pickign up the phone.

He nodded but then held up seven fingers indicating he was taking the week off. Another coughing fit hit him as the rag fell from his forehead. God why did everything bite him in the ass? Why couldn't everything just leave him alone for once?

Lisha nodded she informed the office that he wouldn't be in "you just need to relax a bit you know you are running yourself too hard and thats hard on your body. " she said softly she looked him in the eyes with a slight bit of affection then looked away a bit embarrassed. "don't worry your voice will be back if you finish a cup of tea and cup of lemon water and take a nap. trust me" she said softly.

He nodded then laid his head down on her pillow. He clearly wanted the nap first, everything else could wait. The day had sucked like the rest of the week and on top of everything a thunderstorm was headed their way. She was the only other one besides him that lived in the house which meant, he had taken her bed. A bed he was sure she was going to want to sleep in.

Sure enough a half hour after he fell asleep a black out occurred where everything in the house that was electronic shut down. He preferred a gas stove over electric though the pilot light was electric, so any form of lighting the stove would be bad since the gas wasn't being regulated.

Lisha sighed and went to her bathroom and pulled out a few candles and matches and lit them quickly and brought them into the room she was tired she was sitting next to him on the bed when she felt sleepy and jsut laid down passing out while she slept to ended up curlign up agaisnt his back she had always curled up close to warm things. The next morning she woke up curled up next to him luckily he hadn't woken yet so she quickly got up not sure what to do now.

His body was burning up and the thick heavy suit he still wore didn't help the fact. He felt extremely cold but his skin burnt like the fire of the hot sun. He turned in his sleep laying on his back, his mind blank while his body shivered. He rolled over once again facing her his arm wrapping around her waist. He needed her so badly right now, he always needed her. Without her he would have gone insane some time ago. His touch on her was brief before turning once again with his back to her as he tried to curl up in the blankets. This was a bad illness, and he wasn't going to wake for a few days.

Lisha quickly pulled back the covers and pulled off his suit leaving him in his boxers and undershirt, she quickly pulled the blankets back over him she ran to the closet and got a couple more blankets and covered him with them she got up under the covers with him to help keep him warm she hoped her body heat would help him not shiver so badly. she was worried about him. she needed to call the doctor to get an injection to bring the fever down it was getting bad. She knew she couldnt' call right now the electricity was out.

He remained dead to the world for three days after his suit being removed. Her body did heat him up to where the shivering slowed and eventually stopped but the fever still didn't break yet. His mind was conscious to something warm with him. He couldn't think though, he was still in pain. He drew closer to the warmth of her body eventually laying his head on her chest, the sound of something beating in his ears, it soothed him back into a peaceful sleep.

Lisha smiled a bit as he curled up closer to her as eh laid his head on her chest she kissed his forehead softly and stroked the side of his face gently until she soon joined him in his sleep, She was so sleepy from taking care of him she was exhausted, she sighed softly in her sleep and nuzzled in closer cuddling with him she knew she shouldn't but she had no choice.

He slowly opened his eyes a few hours later, though didn't catch on to where he was just yet. His eyes moved over the room he was in. It wasn't his the room was different, then it caught him. He must have passed out in Lisha's room. He turned his head to see where he was seeing her beautiful face. He slowly realized the touch of skin against the side of his face, his head had been laying on her chest, but she remained there. Did she stay with him this whole time? His hands ran up over the blanket to find her arm holding onto him. He slowly moved away from her and kissed her forehead, He knew he needed her. She helped him in so many ways over the years, and he turned around and raped her. He didn't deserve to even look at her, but there she was holding onto him.

Lisha groaned and opened her eyes when he moved, she laid there looking at him "good you're awake. Are you feeling any better, you've been passed out for three day with a nasty fever. I was worried about you." she said softly she looked at him and blushed at the way he looked at her "perhaps we should get you cleaned up a bit so you'll feel even better." she said softly she leaned forward starting to get up but she slipped on the covers and landed on top of him her eyes met his her face only inches from his she was breathing shakily like she was nervous, she slowly leaned in lightly pressing her lips against his for a brief moment her eyes were closed then she quickly started pulling away thinking about how she shouldn't have done that.

She kissed his lips? he could barely believe it, mainly after what he did to her. He wrapped his arms around her hugging her tightly. "I'm so sorry." He said softly in her ear. "I've been nothing but a burned for you three days, and what I made you do. Forgive me please." he begged. He couldn't help himself he couldn't go another day without apologizing. He had been dying each day since then.

"all I ever wanted since the day you first came here was for you to notice me but it seemed I could never gain your attention. Yes I wish it had been somethign a bit more romantic but it was alright" Lisha said softly she turned away a bit shy that she had finally told him this. She was afraid of how he would react and and how he would treat her now.
