The Dark Forrest (GhettoxRuki)

For a few moments,Kamijo stood still,and focused on the area around him in order to try and sense any other presence.There were no one else,for the time being,at least. "There is no one else here,for the time being." The blond commented.Then,he approached the neko and her prey,sneaking up and grabbing him from behind,knowing that she herself had no way of doing so. "Go ahead and attack." The Vampire said.

Violet glanced at the vampire holding the hunter down. "But I have already done, unless you mean of course my guardian which is standing in the shadows of the tree line. His curse will bring him nothing but bad luck for quite some time, and even then his family will not be able to break it until it is diluted by the generations."

FrostWynd emerged from her hiding spot, perhaps my dear friend there would be another punishment just as terrible as that which you have given him. Allow me to transform him into the form he hunts down that is a far more punishable curse, then even had luck. And by changing him into a dragon it can't be diluted so easily as your bad luck curse. Unfortunately only a dragon has the ability to turn another by using their blood and a very ancient spell."

"You don't mean to kill him,I mean?" Kamijo asked,nodding in understanding as he listened to Violet's words. "I think that would be a very fitting punishment indeed," the blond commented. "I have something very important to tell you." he commented,looking at the young neko.The Vampire couldn't help but wonder what she'd think of him once he told her what he knew of her parent's death.

Violet shook her head. "I do not kill those that hunt my people, or those that hunt my guardian. I leave that to others. Besides he is a dragon slayer, the worst punishment he can receive is becoming the thing he hunts. And the way the spell works or so my guardian has told me, is quite painful for the person the dragon transforms, which is why they rarely if at all do it."

She could see the eyes of the dragon slayer get wider with that vivid discribition. "It may have to wait until after Frostwynd has dealt with the slayer."

Frostwynd smiled faintly at that. "He will have to swallow my blood, violet conjure a large bowl. I will drain a sufficient amount into the bowl, and then pour it down his throat. Then I will speak the old spell of transforming him into a dragon."

Violet conjured the bowl the dragoness had asked for, and began to pour her own blood into the bowl, until it was filled to the brim with her blood. The slayer refused to open his mouth, but he was forced to open it as a taloned claw opened his jaws for him, and he was forced to swallow the bitter acidic blood.
Then a voice that seemed to hold different melodies woven into spoke the ancient draconian spell of transformation, the first thing to appear on the slayer were scales of a deep maroon red.

Kamijo nodded softly. "It's best to wait until the danger has passed," the blond commented,watching as the transformation was carried out.His blue eyes closed as he smelled the acidic blood. "What--if anything do you think would happen if I added some of my blood to that man?" he then asked.Perhaps he would only be able to walk at night,like a Vampire? Or maybe he'd have to drink blood to survive?

FrostWynd spoke softly. "He would most likely become a vampyre dragon, he would have to drink blood like you to survive. Though he would not be limited to walking in the sunlight. Though they would have other weaknessess that a vampire will suffer, and that of a dragon as well. All vampire like animals are able to freely walk in the sunlight unless their natural alighment is that of darkness then they are forever cursed to walk the path of darkness. For some they have over come that by creating sun gems. which enables them to walk in daylight.

There was one such a ring that existed for dark vampires, but a good fairy went and cursed so that if any vampire picked it up, it would turn them into a human for two hours, and then back into their normal vampire self. She felt that it would be unwise to allow the dark vampires more than that especailly sense it would be dangerous in their hands. So with that curse placed on that ring no dark vampire wanted the thing and it was thrown into a lake, and lost."
Then she blinked slightly. "But because it was orginally made for evil things, it will find its way back to the surface, things of that nature never remain lost for long."

Violet glanced at the oriental dragoness, having never heard about this terrible ring before and slightly wondering if it had been made after the shapeshifters had gone to war with the vampires long ago. Long before she had been born.

Kamijo listened as the dragon explained what would happen if his blood were to be added.In a way,he'd be a Vampire,without the weaknesses. "I didn't know that," the blond commented, "Nor was I aware that such a ring existed." If that ring were to get into his sire's hands? "Can it be destroyed?" The Vampire then asked.If they could find and destroy it,there was no way his sire could get to it.

Frost wynd smiled faintly. "It can't be destroyed any futher then it has been I am afraid. Besides I doubt most evil vampires will want it with the curse the fairy placed upon it. Spending every 2 hrs switching between a human and a vampire would not be fun. Because the minut you eat real food as a human, and your two hours are up on the ring at which point you switch back to your vampire self. All that food content is going to come up, the same way with the blood.

Theres no reason to destroy a ring thats already been destroyed by a good fairy, and we are lucky that she did so because if she had not, then the evil vampires would have had an edge that the good vampires would found hard to deal with. Only the very foolish of evil vampires I have heard go after the ring for themselves."

Kamijo nodded, "That sounds very unpleasant," the blond commented,shivering slightly when he pictured in his mind what the dragon was explaining. "I'm afraid I know of one such evil and foolish Vampire." he added.With that ring,his sire would be more powerful than ever before.Just thinking about the other made him angry,the way he killed without any remorse.

Frost Wynd inclined her head. "He would need help in going after the ring with it sitting at the bottom of the lake, though moving water can sometimes deter an evil vampire from claiming it, and I know there is only one such creature that can go in there and get that ring without moving water detering him. But then he sold his soul long ago, and was cursed by his goddess to live out his life as a vampirecat. Clawfang would have no trouble in getting that ring and selling it to an evil vampire.

I have not heard if the ring has been brought up from the depths of the lake that it was lost in, but I suspect any time clawfang will began to try and retrieve it. He cares little for life or the the innocent people that will get in his way. And if it is not him, there will be others who can get it."


The dragoness knew the exact location of the ring she had helped the fairy place it there a long time ago to keep the dark vampires from being able to retrieve it themselves, but knew that if an animal vampire was involved then the ring would find itself in the hands of a vampire sooner or later.

"It sounds as though Clawfang will go to any lengths to retrieve this ring," Kamijo commented.Why wouldn't an evil being who wanted to make a pretty penny do just that? "I'm curious,what would happen if the ring were to be sold to a good Vampire?" the blond then asked,not knowing much about such artifacts.

FrostWynd blinked slightly this. "I am not sure, I don't think its been tested in that regard, the effects might work the same, or they may not. It would depend on the spell that the good fairy placed upon it. But I suspect it would do nothing to a good vampire."

Kamijo nodded.The blond considered himself to be good,but he couldn't help but wonder what judgment the ring would pass upon him.He was nothing like his sire,but he was still a killer. "I want to get that ring before Clawfang has the chance to," he commented.

FrostWynd smiled faintly exposing her fangs. "Then I will have to take you to the lake, as I know its location, I was the one that helped the fairy put it there so it would remain lost for a time of course. How ever I think it would be wise to be careful I am sure there will be other vampires there, and we may not be the only ones to go after it. As for the dragon slayer he is on his way to becoming a dragon cursed with a bad luck so he will be of no danger to me."

Violet inclined her head knowing that if the search for the ring went off, she would be following no way was she letting her guardian go alone, and she would have to heal frostwynd anyway once they reached the lake. The oriental she knew was relying on her dragon strength at this point.

Kamijo smiled softly. "Thank you," he said. "But,is there anything I can do for you in return?" the blond then asked.Normally,Vampire's aren't one to ask for help,let alone offer something in return for that help,but he was different.But he didn't want to be like other Vampires.

Frost Wynd thought about this. "Well there is perhaps one thing, but I will speak of it while we are at the lake looking for the ring. Because that is when I will need to heal myself..." She smiled faintly. "By the way your not scared of heights are you?"

Kamijo nodded, "We'll speak of it when we're at the lake then," he said. "No,I'm not afraid of heights." the blond then added,watching the oriental dragon.

FrostWynd smiled at that, and then started to coil herself around the both of them. "That is good, because it will be faster if I fly us there directly." Then she started to levitate off the ground, and one paw it could clearly be seen that there was some sort of pearl like jewel in her clawed hand. Perhaps this is what gave the oriental her powers of flight.

Kamijo held onto FrostWynd gently,looking down at the ground in awe. "I never thought I'd be flying," he said.Some older Vampires had the power of flight,but he didn't yet.

FrostWynd continued in the direction towards the lake that housed the evil ring that had been cursed long ago by the good fairy. "At least you seem to enjoy Violet most likely has her eyes closed if I know her well enough. She hates flying."

Violet indeed had her eyes closed, and looked slightly green. She hated anything to do with flying or hights in fact she practically had a phobia about it, which was why she wasn't looking at how far below the ground was.

Kamijo frowned when he noticed that Violet looked a bit green. "She doesn't look so good," the blond commented.He didn't know much of phobias,aside from the fear of fire that was instinctive and natural to Vampires. "Is she sick?"

Frostwynd smiled faintly at that. "Violet has a phobia of heights, and thats why she hates flying so much. Its very strange being that shes a cat. But then shes not a normal feline so I suppose she had to have a weakness of some kind." Then she began to lower her decsent as the lake came into view it a very beauitful serene looking place but the dragon sensed that there were others there that were trying to figure out on how to get the ring for themselves. "It seems that are a few other presences there."

Kamijo nodded slowly,understanding what FrostWynd was talking about.It made perfect sense. "I see," the blond said.The lake then came into view,it was a beautiful place,but he too could sense other presences there. "I sense them,too.I just hope they haven't found the ring."

Frostwynd smiled faintly. "By the looks of things they have not. But there is that vampirecat clawfang, and he is fixing to dive into the lake to get it. If you want I suggest you dive for it, before he gets a chance. The ring self has to cobras curled up holding a purple amethyst in their fanged maws." She loosened her coils slightly so that if wanted to dive for the ring he would be able to slip through quite easily without hurting himself.

Kamijo nodded, "I'll gladly go and get it,then." the blond said.Being a Vampire,he had no need for breathing,which meant he could stay underwater as long as possible. "I'll be back as soon as I've got the ring." he then added,before diving into the water.
