The Dark Forrest (GhettoxRuki)

Frostwynd then landed on the shoreline. But remained curled around her ward just in case the other vampires decided to try and come after them. Though there was one particular vampire that looked quite evil enough that she thought might pose a problem when he dived in the lake. Though it was not the vampire cat who had done so. But she could see that the evil vampire had to finally come back to the shoreline for the water repelled him.

Now that they were on the ground Violet regained some of her color back to her face, and sighed glad to at least be on the ground no matter how short the reprieve might be. "Hopefully he finds it Frostwynd I can tell the others are getting annoyed that he beat clawfang into the lake."

Kamijo moved through the water almost effortlessly,making certain to keep aware of his surroundings.The blond would look around occasionally,the water appearing crystal clear to his eyes,despite how deep he went.He did sense evil Vampires,but they were repelled by the water,and forced to the shore.

And laying on the bottom of the sandy lake was a small black box that housed the terrible ring that had been cursed for the evil vampires by the good fairy. Frost Wynd could only smirk as the water kept the evil blood drinkers at bay. Knowing that today they would never get their hands on the ring that they thought would enable them to rule the world.

It wasn't long before Kamijo spotted the black box,and the two cobras curled up,holding an amethyst.The blond made his way down,and upon his arrival,he gently opened the fanged maws of the two cobras,before retrieving the small black box.Then,he swam back up toward the surface.

Frost Wynd watched as the blond vampire resurfaced from the lake, noticing that it appeared that he seemed to be holding a black box in his hands. The dragoness smiled faintly revealing her fangs. The other vampires would be out of luck. But she had a suspicion that the vampire that had sired the blond was probably among the lot that had been repelled by the lake. Though the dragoness knew that if the older vampire caught wind of a shapeshifter being here he would no doubt head in their direction.

Kamijo walked over to FrostWynd and Violet,holding the box close to his chest. "The Serpents didn't try to stop me,they must really know who's evil,and who isn't." the blond commented,looking to his companions.Closing his eyes briefly,he caught a scent that he was all too familiar with.It was that of his sire. "My sire's here." he then added.

Kamijo's sire was none other than a dark haired Vampire named Kaoru,who wanted to steal the ring for his own evil purposes.He was cold,and tough as nails,and no Vampire in existence knew just how old he was,for he never spoke of it. "There is a shapeshifter here," he told the other Vampires.Now that Kamijo was out of the water and had the ring,it was the perfect time to attack.

Frost Wynd growled slightly exposing her fangs. "unfornately we are not equiped to fight him or the others he may try to rally against us. I know for a fact that Violet will not be ready for this. I suguest we leave while we can."

Clawfang sniffed the air and growled exposing his own vampire fangs. "The shapeshifter is young, but the dragon is not. A young shapeshifter can be easily swayed to lose its temper, and then we can kill her, and the dragon. I believe dragons bane works well against dragons for them it is a possion." He was slightly hungry and dragons blood was quite good in his estimation.

Violet glanced at her guardian. "I think you are right they out number us, and if we don't leave now, we may not have another chance to do so before they force us to fight against them. And it looks like clawfang wants to go after us. I know of only one shapeshifter whose able to keep him from well attacking. But I really don't want to have to summon her here against these guys. Though I heard rumors long ago that she slayed evil vampires."

Kamijo nodded in agreement. "It would be very wise to leave.We are severely out numbered,and chances are that they are more powerful than us as well." the blond commented. "I don't want to put her in danger as well."

Kaoru listened to Clawfang speak,the other seemed to have a brilliant idea. "It's a plan then," the dark haired older Vampire commented,smiling darkly. "I trust we have enough Dragon's bane,as well?" He also wanted to see Kamijo again.

FrostWynd inclined her head. "Then got on me, and I will take off, we must do this quickly before that ediot brings up dragns bane. He has no idea that it has very little effect on me."

Clawfang smiled darkly exposing his blood red fangs. "Of course we do, I can conjure it. I still am a shapeshifter you know." Then without a moments hisition he conjured the posion. He was about to head towards the dragon, when the young shapeshifter growled out in a voice that rang like a bell of doom.

Violet knew they would have no choice but to summon the guardian of fire, and so she did. "I summon the guardian of fire, whose name is Catclaw." There was one thing the young shapeshifter knew and that all evil vampires hated light, and they would hate catclaw being that the guardian was of a fire element and she could easily kill them.

A fire ball of light landed in between the evil vampires, and the group that was fleeing. "Hmmm I see severral evil blood suckers, and an arch enemey. Tis a shame I have to put you ediots in your place. As for that stupid ring, you might as well forget it. Its been cursed, and that curse thats been placed upon it will all make you sick to your little undead stomaches." The guardian knew what she was doing insulting the lot of them. In fact she rather enjoyed it.

Kamijo remained close to FrostWynd,watching as Violet summoned the guardian of fire.The blond's blue eyes watching in fascinated as the guardian appeared from a ball of fire.

Kaoru watched as Clawfang conjured the poison,his dark eyes soon falling upon the fire guardian. "A fire guardian?" The dark haired man questioned. "You honestly think you're going to get somewhere by insulting us?"

Frostwynd encircled herself around the blond vampire, and took off while catclaw was insulting the evil vampires, speeding away as fast as she could. "Have you got a place that sire of yours can't get through. I am afraid as soon as he realizes catclaw was summoned to distract him, he is going to try and follow us."

Catclaw smiled darkly. "Well actually in a way it has worked, while I have been insulting the lot of you, the others have escaped. I was merely the delaying tactic. Not only that some of you, are so stupid that insults make you leeches upset enough to do things you wouldn't otherwise do. There in lies your mistake. Besides none of you can stand fire or light. And sense my arch enemy is among the lot of you it stands to reason I would let him go without a gift. And also you see I am a shapeshifter and I have killed vampires before. I am well known in certain parts of the world."

Clawfang growled darkly at that. "You wouldn't dare, you cowardly feline." Of course that set catclaws eyes ablaze, and fire came from them, and scorched clawfangs furr right off his body.

Catclaw smiled at that, seeing the now furless vampirecat. "I wouldn't dare hmm, shows what you know. Souless vampirecat. You couldn't kill a flea and get away with it, because after all your related to one." Because of the flames, the sacks of dragones bane that clawfang had conjured were turned to mere ashes. This caused clawfang to disappear in swirl of red mist to retreat for another day. "Well that takes care of one." Her silver and gold claws glowed with flames, that would be harmful to the undead, and sense cat wore a collar around her neck the vampires couldn't bit there. "I shall be going now." Then in a tornado of fire and flame, the guardian vanished having done her job in distracting the evil vampires long enough.

Kamijo nodded, "Yes,he can only get as far as the entrance to my castle,as a moat surrounds it." The blond answered,watching as Clawfang retreated. "I'm glad I'm not evil." he added,shivering.As a Vampire,he still didn't take much of a liking to fire.

Kaoru watched as Clawfangs fur was scorched right off his body,his dark eyes widening. "Damn it," the dark haired man murmured.The plan was now drastically altered,if not completely destroyed.Once the guardian had vanished,the older Vampire followed them on foot,cursing under his breath.

Frost Wynd inclined her head. "from that discription I should be able to teleport us there. Its the only place that will be safe for Violet. As for me I am going to have to switch to my staff form so I can heal from the rest of that vile dragons bane that slayer poisioned me with." Then magic swirled around the dragoness, and they disappeared from sight. Reappearing at the entrance to the vampires castle. "We probably don't have much time."

Violet quickly got off frost wynd, and looked at her with concern. "Your going to need that rest in staff form, you over did it, and that wound is still dripping blood. So you'd better transform quickly frostwynd." Her ears listoned to the sounds that were far away.

Kamijo got off of FrostWynd once they arrived at the castle,surprised that she was able to teleport there merely from the description.The blond nodded in agreement, "Violet's right.Most of Kaoru's henchmen probably fled in terror when they saw Catclaw.I will guard the two of you with my life."

Kaoru picked up the shapeshifters scent near Kamijo's castle. "Still surrounded by a damn moat,no doubt." the dark haired man muttered to himself as he made his way there.

Violet watched as frostwynd changed shape, and returned to her staff form. She picked up the now harmless looking staff, and glanced at the blond vampire. "I don't think that your sire will be very happy about you protecting me and my guardian. Especially if he recognizes that I am part of the line he killed. Not only that I think he followed us here because of that ring. And most likely to try and kill me, sense catclaw managed to destroy his orginal plan in doing so."

Her furr shivered slightly, she was afraid that this was going to end up in a bad fight, and she had no experience in fighting vampires. In fact she'd tried her best to avoid them. For some small part of her was indeed afraid of what they could do. And why wouldn't she be afraid because of what had happened in her past granted that she was no longer kitten, but to some she was still not past the age of what they thought of as a mature shapeshifter so in their eyes she was still at kitten stage.

Kamijo nodded, "He won't be happy about it,I'm sure." the blond commented.In addition to that,they had escaped with the ring,thus foiling Kaoru's plan to obtain it,which would only anger him more. "As long as I walk this earth,I will not allow any harm to come to you,or FrostWynd.Kaoru may be older,but like all Vampires,his immortality is limited." That is,each Vampires abilities only went to the extent to which they were honed.The only downfall that Kamijo could see was that he had no idea just how old Kaoru was,which meant that he didn't know the extent of his strength,or how much things like fire and sun affected him.

Violet glanced at him slightly her eyes narrowed. "Yes but I cannot stay here forever, and even you vampires have to sleep some time. And from what I understand some of you aren't able to defend yourselves against a nice sharpened wooden stake." Then her eyes picked out a figure amongst the shadows on the far side of the moat. "Is that him?" Though the young shapeshifter hoped that if it was indeed the blonds sire that he wouldn't recognize her blood line from her parents whom he had killed. "In any case with frostwynd out of commission for awhile I will have to relie on my own instincts." Her hands tightened on the staff her claws bitting into the wood as she shifted back into her neko form. Though her scent was much stronger in this form for any thirsty vampire.

Kamijo nodded, "Yes,a sharpened wooden stake renders us paralyzed." the blond answered.Closing his eyes when he smelled a familiar scent,he looked to the far side of the moat. "That's him." he said,looking to Violet. "You are a strong fighter.I think we can defeat him together."

Kaoru looked at Kamijo,angry that the other man was trying to protect the neko.Focusing a bit of his energy,the dark haired Vampire teleported from his current location behind the blond. "It is in your nature to kill,Kamijo.Kill her." he said.

Violet spoke softly for a moment turning to glance as the vampire's sire appeared behind him. "Only when I have to be. But then I have accepted my nature as it is, and refined it so that even the beastial insincts work in tune with part of my nature. And natures even among blood suckers like you can be changed." Her eerie purple eyes seem to dance with their own flames. But strange energy and power swirled around the neko even in this form.

It was a power that not even her parents had, though they too had been strong in their own abilities. But by far she was the most dangerous to vampires, though she had no idea that she had that potional unless it was unleashed through the purple power that swirled around her. She did have some idea of course but she really didn't want to have use it that soon. "And instincts can be ignored to a certain point, if one has the strength of will and spirit alone to do so. And killing me would not of course be a wise decision, my guardian would act with dragon fire, and I know none of you can stand the true flame of a dragon when its enraged. Of course killing me would also solve nothing in the end for it was you who killed my family line. I think the shoe is on the other claw so to speak."

She would have liked nothing better than to go after that anicent vampire but she knew without a wooden stake it would not work. And that being young she did have a temper and it would be wise to not allow it to take control. For young shapeshifters could make vital mistakes if they allowed there temper to take full control and raise the beastial instincts that were in them. She was pretty sure that the old vampire knew that which was why he was trying to cause mistrust and betrayal.

"Actually he had plenty of time to kill me had he of wanted to while my guardian was hurt with dragons bane, or while I was working in the tavern. He did not do those things, so there in I can at least put some trust in his words. You how ever like to cause mistrust and misery. But I do how ever remember the night my parents were killed because I was there..." There had been at least more truth to the story then what the guardian had told the vampire, but sense the story really was more or less violets past, she hadn't been able to tell of all it before having to go and rescue violet from the dragon slayers.

Kamijo nodded, "Despite the fact that your blood is in my veins,Kaoru,I am nothing like you." he said.The blond knew that there would truly be no use in killing Violet,even if he wished to.His eyes remained on the older Vampire,and he saw that a look of realization was soon present in his eyes. "Unlike you,I do not harm others,or kill them just for the sake of doing it." he added.

"All in due time,Kamijo." Kaoru commented,his dark eyes shining in realization. "Ah,it must have been your parents I killed then," the dark haired man commented.A preternatural feeling told him that Kamijo had informed the young shapeshifter of the weaknesses of Vampires.

Violet only smiled faintly at that point. "Indeed, but do not think that because you killed my parents that I will let my temper run away with me. I am how ever much more dangerous in my abilities then my parents ever were. In fact I am very good at throwing sharp pointing objects at people, including something like you. And I know a nicely well sharpened stake would in effect stop you for a little bit of time." "Though of course it was me who summoned the guardian of fire, I knew that she is the most dangerous to vampires because she does how ever know how to kill them with a wooden stake and has done so before.

And if I need to I will summon the guardian of fire again, and I am sure she wouldn't mind insulting you again for that matter." She knew that the anicent vampire probbaly wouldn't like that idea any more than what she had sad. But with her knowledge as it was. It made her a very dangerous foe despite being young.

Her nails shifted into claws slightly and reflexively came in and out. But it was her eyes that were different for they gave no indication of fear, for she knew that if she did die, that she would not go to hell and it was that faith that made her strong. Purple energy crackled in her hair like electricity. Her energy was building up to do something of its own acord or to cause a purple energy storm.

Kamijo watched Kaoru,trying to figure out what the others next move would be.The blond closed his eyes,and tried to focus on reading his thoughts,only to find that he had veiled them. "I don't know what you're planning Kaoru,but you will not succeed." he told him.

Kaoru smirked confidently. "You're wrong,Kamijo.I will succeed.I will rip you from that kittens side,and you will come with me." he said.He planned to become the most powerful Vampire in existence.

Violet was listening to this as her power simmered along her bodies surface. "There is only one way in which he could do that, and that is to control you through the bond that is created when a vampire makes another vampire. At least I am glad that I do not have those restraints put upon me.

For I am myself in what ever siguation arises in that is enough to get me by." But then her ears flickered forward, and for a second she became transparent as something passed from her body and landed point first into the ground. becoming more solid. She heard a curse from above. Clawfang had tried to kill her, even though he had no fur left on his body he was still evil enough to try and kill another shapeshifter.

It was then Violet turned and glared at the vampirecat. "Now that was a mistake souless blood sucking cat...
For when the beast roars in the dead of night, and predators stalk the innocent to kill. For in that lies their demise. For when a creature born of between purple twilights hue, and the ecplispe of the moon. Then is the beast unleashed for the second time. When the calm of the storm appears, therein lies the storms greatest potional to do harm.
But I am again myself even with the power of purple energy.
For I am both light and dark. Caught between the too and with the moons light
and the aid of Bast herself. I unleash its true power."

The words were softly spoken, but as they were spoken, Violet began to change shape, her eyes glowed more brilliantly with her power, and the ground trembled around her as if caught in an earthquake.

But then her voice rasped out, her new form resembled something demonic indeed. Her purple fur had been replaced by purple scales, curved horns now graced her head, though feathers covered over the top part of her wings hidding their batlike appearance expect for underneath. Her taloned like claws unclenched from the ground.

"But my parents were not natural shapeshifters, for we are en essence the demoncats, and part of the hellcat line." Those errie demonic eyes glowed eerily. "But from within me the power is manfestied alot stronger then it was in my parents for they were not born on the night I was." Her hackles rose slightly, as the spikes on her back and taill shifted postion. "How ever because I am what I am, I am able to comand the legions of demons to come to my aid wither they be of darkness or of light." Those eyes glowed at the anicent vampire with contempt. "You are a fool if you think you will become the most powerful vampire in existence. For your greed will destroy you in the end."

Though she had not summoned the demons yet, clawfang was thrown off the roof, and landed before the large demonic feline. She glanced at the souless vampire. "Run, or face your unborn nightmare should I conjure the nightmare demon. For in sooth she will make your nightmare a reality." Clawfang took off running, the moving waters not a hinderence to a vampireic animal.

Kamijo's eyes darkened, "You cannot control me Kaoru," the blond commented. "And you will never become the most powerful Vampire in existence.Not through death and destruction.I will not let you succeed."

Kaoru looked to Violet, "Foolish shape shifter.I have no nightmares.I am the greatest nightmare in existence.I am death himself." the dark haired man commented,smiling wickedly.Of course,the Vampire was afraid of dying,not that he would admit it.

Violet only smirked. "For clawfang yes, you on the other claw would require the dreaded fear demon. who operates much like the nightmare demon. Every vampire is afraid of death, for in essence they can also be killed. It is a fool who does not admit that.
As for being death, you are a tool that death operates from. Death himself is always the reaper of souls."

But there was something much more dangerous going on. "And I am no fool either. For I know the damaging rays of the sunlight will slow you down, and without that vile ring you haven't any protection at all." Then her voice whispered quietly. "For on the seventh day there was light." With those words it was as if the blackened sky was pulled back, and light began to tinge the sky in the beginning of dawn.

But violet also knew that if the ancient vampire left before the sunlight became to strong that this would not be the last time she heard from him. For in fact she was still his enemy, even though she seemed to be young, she was a very powerful enemy. Her form also showed that it was so.

Her staff suddenly dissappeared and in its place the guardian dragon frostwynd stood in its place. But the dragoness remembered the ancient vampire and growled flames flickering along her jaws. "Ah so the ancient vampire thinks he is invincible does he. I wonder if dragon fire would have the same result as pure sunlight. if I remember correctly I was trapped in staff form before I could find out." The oriental knew that the ancient vampire would remember her in fact she was betting on it. The guardian it seemed was well rested from her bout with dragons bane. Though she was not so foolish as to try and flame the old vampire just in case she hit the good vampire by mistake, for the old one could use him as a shield.
