No such thing as Vampires

Devin Blackwood was the lord of a Coven of Vampires who resided in the castle outside a small village.One evening,Devin got a letter from the village's Mayor.Apparently,the man hoped to reach some sort of agreement.The letter stated that the Mayor would send him a Virgin,in exchange for the village's safety. "We'll see how long this lasts," the dark haired man commented to himself,sitting down in a comfortable chair that was located in the study.He had instructed a couple members of the coven to stand watch at the door.

Sophia Clement whimpered softly as the carage dropped her off near that castel where she would be living for how ever long the master vampire was amused with her, she hated that she was being used as a form of payment to save the village, but she didn't have anyother choice, she was a freak to them with her pale blue eyes and snow white hair, no man wanted to marry her and so they would just send her off to be food for the vampire.

Devin rose from the chair once he heard the carriage approach.The dark haired man made his way out of the castle,and into the cold night air,walking down the stone steps. "Let's go greet her," he told the members of the coven who were outside.Tossing his dark hair habitually,he made his way down the stone path to where he believed the young woman was.

Sophia's eye wend wide when she saw the men clad in dark clothing approching her, her small body shook and bowed her head to show both her submistion and to see just how bad she stuck out in the white clothing that she had been given to wear.

Devin smiled deviously when the young woman bowed,showing her submission.The dark haired man stepped forward,wanting a better look at the young woman. "I'm Devin Blackwood,the lord of this castle," he explained,gesturing for the men to go and ready a bedroom.

"M-My name is Sophia Clement...I have been sent to you as payment of spairing our village my lord." She said softly as she lightly placed her hands over her belly to try and keep herself calm.

Devin nodded. "You'll do nicely," he commented,looking her over,before turning with his back to her and walking back into the castle,expecting her to follow.

Sophia jumped when he started to walk away and she quickly ran after him, she had to walk quickly to be able to keep up with the vampire's long legs.

"Why don't you show Sophia to her room?" Devin asked one of the coven members.Surprisingly enough,this girl suited his tastes well.

The pale young woman lowered her head before she walked over to the other vampire who nodded his head and stared to lead the way down the hall to one of the rooms that she would be staying in since the other one that she would be staying in was Lord Devin's.

Devin made his way back to the living room to read.The dark haired man was also contemplating what to do with Sophia.

Sophia walked into her bedroom and walked over to the bed before she sat down and sighed softly, she was hoping that they could get this over with quickly so she wouldn't have to suffer for to long.

Devin read quietly,thinking about what to do.Closing the book and getting up,he decided to go for a walk in the garden.

Having nothing else to do since she had not been told that she could leave her room, Sophia pulled the sheets back on her bed before crawling under the covers and slowly falling asleep.

Devin sat on one of the stone benches in the garden,looking out at the roses as if they somehow held the answers. "Maybe the answer will come to me with time," the dark haired man told himself.

Sophia sighed softly in her sleep as she rolled over to face the open window that lead out to the garden.

Devin still sat on the bench,looking out at the roses.

Sophia woke a few hours late and sighed softly, she was still alive...she could only wonder for how much longer though.

By that time,Devin was no longer in the garden.The Vampire had gone to bed a few hours before Sophia had woken.
