The Animal and the Demon

A young mutant sat outside the institute that he lived at, his yellow pupiless eyes gazed around, it had been his birthday the other and he was now sixteen years old. "Ahh but what fun is it when there is nothing to do?" He whined softly, he couldn't go off school grounds because his image induser was broken.

Logan was in his lab,inside the institute,doing research.The older mutant suddenly looked up when he heard--or thought he heard something. "Who's there?" he muttered,more to himself than anyone else.He knew his fellow mutants were on the grounds,that was a given,but this was an ominous and unfamiliar presence.

Kurt sighed again before he bamfed himself back inside and to where Logan was, he made sure to stay out of his reach incase he was startled by his sudden appearince. "Logan, do you know where Forge is? I wanna see if my watch is fixed yet so I can go out." The blue furry mutant asked as he tilted his head to the side slightly.

Logan nodded, "Yes,and I'll take you there," he answered,setting down the book he was reading.

Kurt grinned at that before he nodded his head, his long blue tail swaying around. "Thank you Logan! I'll be right back!" He said before he bamfed off to go see the other mutant and then came back with his image induser on so he looked like a normal human.

Logan watched as Kurt bamfed off,before coming back. "All ready to go,then?" he asked.

Kurt smiled and nodded his head. "Yep! I was hoping that we could go to the mall." He said with a smile before he wrapped his tail around his waist so it couldn't be seen either.

Logan nodded, "Sure,we can go to the mall." he said,exiting his lab.It would be nice to get out for awhile.

Kurt grinned at that before he bounced around and giggled softly. "Danke Logan!" The young German mutant said before he but his hand on Logan's shoulder and ported them off to where all the cars and things where. "So what are we takinging?"

Logan smiled softly, "You're welcome," the older man said.He'd always thought of Kurt as a pupil,and wanted to do anything he could to help him.Looking around,he soon decides on a sports car. "Let's take this one." he then added.

Kurt smiled and nodded his head before he walked over and hopped into the passangers seat before he buckled himself in, he was good at driving but he was sure that Logan would want to drive them.

Logan got into the driver's seat,and buckled his belt,before pulling out of the driveway,and heading towards the mall.

Kurt grinned and got out ot the car before he started to off to the mall. "I'm going to the music store Logan!" He called before he waved and ran off.

"Alright,have fun!" Logan called after Kurt,a bit surprised by how fast the other had run off.Getting out of the car,the older man decided to stay close to the other.

Victor Creed, better known as Sabertooth, growled when he saw the runt following around his son, of course no one but Raven and Erick knew that he was the boys father, Magnito was making sure of that for some reason.

Logan kept close watch on Kurt,standing outside the music store and making sure no one bad was around.

"Hey runt!" He called out to the other man as he walked closer to him, he was wearing normal clothes for once, he had to when ever he was watching over his son.

Logan turned around to see Victor Creed. "What are you doing here?" he asked,surprised to see the other there.

"I don't think that's any of your bussiness runt, what are you doing following the blue runt around." He asked with a scowl on his face, he wasn't going to let Logan watch over his kid.

"I'm guarding him,if you must know.From the likes of you especially." Logan told him. "Why is that any business of yours?" he then asked.

"I can do what ever I want to do...if I want to look at blue boy then I will." He said with a looked into the store and over to Kurt again, he felt a small bit of pain as he watched him, he hadn't really gotten to see him grow up.

Logan eyed Creed suspiciously. "You say that with an obvious sense of entitlement." he pointed out. "Is there something important I should know?"

Victor scowled at that as he looked back to other mutant. "What's it to you runt?" The tall cat like man asked with a growl.

Logan's eyes flashed as he kept them fixed on Creed. "I told you,I am protecting him.It's in his best interest if I know everything that has the potential to threaten him." he growled.

"I'm less of a threat to him then you think runt." Sabertooth growled back. "The kids not a baby, he know how to take care of himself, you've seen him fight."
