Unwilling Companions (raven and pony)

"part of living is learning to accept what you live with if you don't accept things at they are your life will only be harder you reject what you are and it holds you back perhaps you could be more free if you learn to live with it I know I do not know your situation completely but mine isn't so different I accepted that my lot in life is to run and to hunt then perhaps some day to mate. that is what I am made for. it is part of being who you are" she said softly "I need to rest goodnight" she said softly and laid back relaxing in the grass.

His eyes looked back and forth between the bowl and her as she spoke though he was listening fully. After she had said goodnight he remained silent before taking off into a tree a few feet back. Trees were always the best place for him the advantage of seeing everything around and being hidden within nature as a bird.

Anona drifted into a light sleep she curled up in a ball as her sleep grew deeper, soon the nightmares started to return visions of all that had happened visions of everything that she had seen the deaths, the violence. She didn't want any of this but was forced into it. She couldn't sleep hardly the temperature of the are grew hotter as her nightmares continued sweat beginning to form on her brow. She began to see new things that would come if she failed to destroy this order.

Oreb watched from the trees as she tossed slightly. "What kind of sick game is your father playing in your mind this time?" He asked softly on the wind. "Rest block the images from your mind or be forever lost int the hell of it." Oreb was good with magic and hoped that his minor spell would be restful, though he doubted himself being it was a god that had placed it on her.

Anona was soothed slightly when through the flames and destruction came a dark figure she could not see who he was but he touched her back she felt the warmth it felt nice she relaxed slightly she didn't feel so alone right now. She slept a bit more peacefully but not for long because soon he was taken away just like everyone else but at least she'd gotten a moment of peace. She needed to escape from this nonsense, she needed help but no one could live long enough to help her.

As he figured he wasn't strong enough to override the god toying with her mind. It angered him greatly that he could do nothing, and it made him curse the god once more in his mind. Apparently the god wasn't in the mood to play for all attention was on Oreb as he continued to curse the Chaos god.

Anona sat up suddenly shivering as the temperature dropped back down the sweat on her body cooled off and chilled her. She formed a small tree in front of her and then caused it to burst into flames to warm up she rubbed her arms slightly uneasily some one was trying to convince her to seek a mate and if she did not produce offspring with her chosen mate they would be taken from her. She hated how she had no control over her life.

Oreb groaned at his sudden in ability to breath. He had been forced back into his human form and was tossed threw the air through the burning tree shattering it into millions of tiny pieces. The flaming embers causing the dry leaves and brush to catch fire. His body hit another tree at the base of the trunk his head bleeding above his right eye a slight line of blood running down over the eyelid. The fire spread quickly the forest going up in the flaming hell.

Anona's eyes flashed she waved her arms up in the air then back down causing water to run from the sky, she waved her arms int he directions of the flames putting them out slowly she put out most of the fire the rain would have to do the rest. She slowly walked over to Oreb her eyes were glowing slightly. She gently reach out to see if he was alright then seeing the blood she helped him over to the makeshift camp. She glared up at the sky and slowly started to clean him up. "you are going to be fine just relax."

Orebs vision was completely blurred and nearly black. His whole body in nothing but pain. That however did not stop his mouth. "Your father is an ass." he mused slightly before a wave of pain shot through him. "At least you are not still in that night mare."

"but now I see my nightmares here in reality." she whispered she smiled at him a bit he had tried to help her, she looked at him strangely then blushed "just relax I will help you heal" she whispered softly she took cloth and dabbed at his wounds she would have to apply some salve then sear the wounds shut which meant a lot of pain for him but it would keep them from getting infected "just rest for a moment." she said softly. She was still a bit confused about all that had just happened but she would ask him after he had recovered a bit.

His body hurt like hell but then again it felt like he went through hell being the tree was on fire when he smashed through it. He kept his eyes closed his head throbbing and pain searing through his body. His hate for the god of chaos only grew through each torment he was put through. "I can not see right now and I can not move my left arm."

"do not worry I will help you to heal I just need you to relax right now. and your arm is broken" she said softly lifted his arm "I hope you are ready for a little more pain." she whispered she had to sett the bone she lifted his arm slowly and moved the bone to set it she took a stick and braced it. She took a cloth and dampened it setting it on his forehead "just rest now everything will be alright." she said softly she sat next to him trying to focus her energy into him in hopes that he would heal faster since she did.

His arm had been broken and his body bloodied and bruised. His vision gone and barely able to hear from his head pounding. His breathing heavy his chest rising and collapsing until his body finally gave into the black abyss of unconsciousness.

Anona watched him pass out she pulled off her tunic leaving her in her vest and waist cincher. She started gently cleaning the wounds cauterizing the open wounds that were most likely to get infected. She looked around they were about a days walk from where her safe spot where the order wouldn't find them she picked him up along with all of their belongings and started walking heading towards the safe haven. She would have to drag him through a small tunnel to get there then they would be safe inside. It was always warm in there and it would be a good place for him to rest and heal since she already had a bunch of things in there.

His eyes shifted behind closed lids as warmth surrounded his body. His eyes flickered open into darkness unaware of where he had been or the time that had passed him by. He shot up hitting his head on the low rise wall in part of the cavern she had taken him to. Pain shot through his arm as he went to raise it. A groan soon left his lips as a small amount of blood trickled down his forehead. His vision more so blurred then before.

Anona hurried over to her him and pulled him into a taller part of the cave "shh relax just lay down" she said softly and started cleaning the cut on his forehead. She looked down at him and shook her head "you really should be more careful." she said softly "you are badly injured and you need to heal we are safe here." she said softly she got up and got a cup filled with a dark liquid "drink this it will help you feel better it will numb the pain"

His blurry vision cleared slightly to where he was able to make out shapes and comprehend a bit of her words. "Safe where?" Though he wasn't sure if he would understand her words at this exact moment. He felt pressure on his forehead however light it was. His eyes closed tightly black stars forming behind his lids. "by the gods that hurts." he complained slightly. "How did this happen?" clearly his inflictor had forcibly made him forget the incident.

"be silent and relax you need to rest now drink before I force you to. we are in a cave its my safe house I hide here from the order to avoid them tracking me so just relax" she said softly she chilled her fingers and placed them gently on his head to ease some of the pain. " just rest for now you need it. perhaps I will be protecting you now" she joked. "now just rest" she walked over getting a blanket and putting it over him and fetchign somethign for him to rest his back on to make him more comfortable.

Oreb took the tonic from her and drank it down quickly, as he had thought a bad lingering after taste was present. "Hell's brew." He said softly naming the vial drink. "Why is it that everything good for you tastes as though it came from a horse's ass?" He said jokingly. The warmth from the blanket was welcomed. "what of yourself?" he asked He didn't like relying on people, mainly because the ones he had been forced to rely on was himself as though he might as well been forsaken by the gods above.

"I'll be fine I'm more concerned about you healing " she said still laughing a bit from his joke. "now you should rest you need it you got it pretty bad don't worry I won't just leave you here to die I'm no traitor I just don't like to be controlled much like you." she said softly she smiled at him a bit and walked away to go sit by the fire. "oh and if you want after you rest there is pool of water over there to wash in." she said softly. she remembered she needed to clean up abit herself she took some cloth with her and pulled the curtain she had made for cleaning up around it. she stripped down sitting in the water washing her clothes. Wrappign the cloth around her to cover her until those were dry.

He laid his head down on the make shift pillow. His head still throbbing from the pain. The pain in his arm soon went away as it numbed but that in itself took fifteen minutes.His blurred vision wandered around only to see her pulling a curtain closed, and a few moments later re open with her in something he couldn't make out. He turned his heavy head toward the wall and soon was back in a black slumber.

Once she was sure he was a sleep she adjusted the cloth to kind of make a dress. She looked over at him worried she looked upwards "please don't let him die let him heal quickly he truly understands me I'm not ready to be alone again I just want to be understood please just once do something that I want I will mate and produce enough offspring to carry on the line and spread them everywhere to wander if you let him heal more quickly and let him be free," she whispered she knew that by offering to do more than the bare minimum the god would most likely accept.

His body burned as she prayed but nothing cause his pain to go away. His healing process was unusually slow for him, he normally healed from a broken bone in a few hours, a day at most. This seemed different and he didn't understand why the gods tormented him. He couldn't understand their minds or why they allowed so many things. He couldn't understand how the gods could let a woman's companion in the form of a pet die, just to get her out to look for other companionship. His head rolled to the side as his head and body continue to burn in pain.

Anona sighed heavily she looked over at him "I will accept one mate and one mate only of my choosing. I want to have some one that feels what I feel and knows what I know and will not run from me" she stopped she realised it was hopeless trying to bargain with these things. She walked over she sat next to him looking over him carefully she fixed the blanket so it covered him more she looked at him carefully "thank you" she whispered she lightly kissed him on the lips and laid down next to him tiredly to watch over him.
