Alex stopped looking him in the eyes "then why is it you are the first to say those things. I've never been worth anything to any guy I've been with. I decided its better to cut my own legs out from under me rather than some one else. People have been doing that to me my whole life. Hunter smiled as she spoke, and he let her go at her own pace. when she finished, he chuckled softly and kissed her on top of her head again before whispering to her. "I will do my best to make you happy, Alex." he said, meaning every word of it.

She looked up at him still unsure as to whether he wanted the same or not or if she had just made a fool of herself. She leaned up kissing him deeply and passionately the way he was holding her made it feel right to her, but she also just wanted more to be closer to feel the affection she craved.
