"its not about that" she said softly she closed her eyes her mind started to pull him away from her. she needed space and she was going to force him to give it to her. He was held against the wall opposite her. She had natural reactions to certain thing to protect herself. She curled up in a ball and stayed there like that for a long time and eventually she released him.

He was shocked when he was pushed back against the wall. He gasped for air for a few moments but finally caught his breath and just hung there till she let him go. He slipped to the floor still naked and just sat there looking at her waiting for her permission to say something or come closer not know what he had done to make lash out.

Kiya over at him she knew what she had just done to him She could have killed him. The only person she had ever cared for and she was putting at great risk. She got up slowly "you would do well to avoid me all I will do is hurt with something I have little if any control over" she said softly she got dressed the rest of the way grabbing her pack "I'm sorry for what I have done" she said softly she walked out the door and started to head out of town.

Garland sat there for a moment as she apologized and rushed out. He quickly pulled his clothes on just pulling his shirt on over his head as he rushed out the door. “Kiya wait!” he rushed after her trying to catch up to her before she got out of town.

"did you not see what I just did to you imagine what more I could do than that I will end up killing you. just let me go...please...do it if not for yourself then do it for me" she said softly she continued walking "I care for you but if I stay with you I will kill you." she said softly. She headed out of town.

He ran up to her grabbing her shoulder and forcing her to turn around and face him. “Why? I can’t believe that you would ever hurt me even without meaning to.” He leaned in and his hands on her arms he kissed her deeply. It lasted for several moments before he pressed his forehead against hers. “You can’t leave me with my heart hurting so much at just the thought of it"

"I don't want to hurt you I could have killed you please let me go I know it is hard you have no idea but being near where I could hurt is killing me just let me go" she said pulling away. She ran off she did not stop running her eyes did not stop running she was sure that was the hardest thing she would ever do. She cried the entire night but after that another tear never left her cheek. She ran hard anf fast.
four years later.
She had grown more mature with more control than she ever could have imagined. she was hunting she had her daggers in hand ready for doe she had been tracking all day.

He watched her leave feeling a part of his heart go with her. “I will never forget you, or this night.” He turned down another road and started walking seeing where time would take him

The four years passed Garland had grown into a full figure of a man. Shortly after Kiya had run away he had found and joined a group of rangers. He was soft and silent deadly with the bow. There was no magic on this earth that could make someone hear his footsteps in the woods. His shot with the bow never missed he was the most deadly of the most deadly hunters. as a ranger he had gained some magic of his own, it allowed him to blend in with the surrounding forest perfectly and even at times meld into trees if he needed. Not to mention the improving of his bow on many different levels. And he was tracking her.

She waited silently as the doe stopped for water she raised a hand up right infront of her and held the dagger with her finger tips it shot through the air more than fast enough to kill it. It struck directly into the heart she ran over checking to make sure the blow had actually killed the animal she removed the dagger and cleaned it. She lifted the dear up onto her shoulders and started walking. She was lean but with a nice figure. her breasts had matured to reach a size 30 D with a small waist and slightly rounded hips. She wore a tunic with a black leather cincher over it, as well as a pair of tightly fitted breeches. She started walking towards the camp she had set up.

He watched her nodding she was good there was no doubt about it. his arrow was set to the string as he followed her back to camp watching her for more time waiting till she was least starting to carve the doe up. His shot was lined up and he waited one more second. The string was losed the arrow flying true to the target. As it came closer it split a rope connecting the two halves. They would wrap around her arms and the second one he shoot would get her legs.

She was cleaning the doe but once the arrow was launched and wrapped around her arms her eyes flashed the bindings burst into flames she stood firmly and glared in the direction the arrow had come from her eyes glowing angrily "leave now or your next breath will be your last" she said she raised her hands her finger tips glowed red she was going to kill this person if they did not back off quickly "now reveal yourself"

As she burned away the bonds Garland just smiled. He recognized that magic. Notching another arrow to string he slipped through the trees the wind making more noise in passage. He sighted down on her one more time, before projecting his voice through the tree in front of him and out another. “You are poaching, that is a crime in this country I suggest you drop your weapons and leave your hands where I can see them.”

"I have one really good piece of advice for you, put down your weapon and walk away. I'm merely getting something to eat I haven't eaten in almost a week. so back off besides I'm just passing through" she said simply she went back to preparing the meat. She didn't care much about rules or laws if she would survive that was all that mattered to her. "and if you fire at me again it will be the last thing you ever do and your tricks for hiding your location do not work against my senses"

He shook his head slowly. “You are poaching in a protected forest and it is my sworn duty to not let that pass.” His string pulled back and was released again in a moment though instead of just the one arrow this time four flew. All of them were perfectly placed not to hit her body but to make it look like they would while sinking into her clothes. The arrows were weighted designed to pull her down to the ground. He was already moved from where he had been slipping from one trunk to another on the outer side of her in a instant.

She cracked her neck and her eyes flared she held her hands opened at her sides, the arrows stopped in mid air and fell to the ground "if you stop this now I won't kill you. One must eat so one must hunt. I do not care of the laws of man but the laws of nature and nature plainly speaks as long you only take what you plan to eat there is no crime." she said coldly. She looked slightly annoyed she had not eaten in several days and this prick was keeping her from her food. She stood there waiting for his answer. "plus I may even share some with you" she said softly.

He laughed, “Who said I was up holding the laws of men?” three more arrows flew from his bow this time sinking into the dear. “This forest is a protection of nature a Unicorn roams these woods and I am doing you a favor by not letting you keep a dead dear in the lands of a unicorn.” The arrows were magical and began to lift the dear starting to move it toward the tree which he now stood by in plain view. “If you are truly hungry there is a patch of wild berries and root vegetables not five hundred feet to the east those you may take freely but having a dead animal in this wood is asking for yourself to be killed."

"I need something more substantial than that I need meat. I do not need protection" she lifted her hand and pulled the deer back towards her. "now if you don't mind I would like to be left alone. I do not enjoy company. but do not waste your time looking out for those who would not do the same for you." she said softly. She put the deer over her shoulders and started to leave. She had better things to do than waste her time with this man.

Four more arrows zipped past her striking the tree in front of her. “Your running away again? But the is what you are best at isn’t it? running away when things get tough no matter who you hurt.” He stepped out of a tree a few paces in front of her his eyes narrow clear pain and hatred written in them. “You never could except someone trying to help you even if it meant your life.”

"you don't understand you would be well advised not to follow me . you know what you want the deer take it its not worth all this trouble." she said and threw it at him walking away. She stopped slowly turning around she looked at him carefully "no it couldn't be" she said shaking her head. She didn't think it was him, she knew she had hurt the only one who had ever meant anything to her but she didn't have any choice, she could have killed him and that thought had frightened her. She stopped thinking then shook her head once more continueing.

He sighed shaking his head taking the dear. “Fine, you haven’t changed a bit.” He turned carrying the dear and stepping up to a tree. His hand rested on the trunk for a moment and slowly started to sink into it. he was just going to leave and be on his way. It was clear that she hadn’t changed through all the years they had been apart. All the fantasies he had ever had of her coming back and needing him disappeared, “Have a good life Kiya.” He stepped into the trunk his magic taking him away through the forest to a distant point.

She stopped the instant he spoke again she closed her eyes she formed a disk under her and flew off following him no matter how hard he tried to disguise his location she could still find him she caught up with him and ripped him out of the tree throwing him to the ground "you don't know why I left" she said softly "I did it to protect you I was afraid I would hurt you because I had no control and in fact I most likely would have." she said softly "you may have been hurting from it but you weren't the only one and how dare you act like you are the only one who got hurt. you are guilty yourself how do you think your parents felt when you left them" she said simply.

He growled reaching up and grabbing her hands. With a surprising show of both physical and magical strength he rolled her over pinning her hands down above her head. “My parents were glad I left it was just one less mouth they had to feed. They had been pushing me to go for months you just provided the chance they had hoped for.” He grabbed her chin roughly forcing her to look at him, “You know I honestly don’t think you realize why you ran away like you did. You were sacred, scared of being to close to someone because the only person that you had been close to had hurt you and you didn’t want that to happen so you ran and you have kept on running.” He pushed back standing brushing the grass from his hair, “Leave Kiya there is nothing for you here anymore.”

She glared at him "you didn't understand then and you certainly don't now. That last night I was with you that was the first time I had lost control in a long time and when my loss of control resulted in you being forced back away from me that is what scared me the fact that I was capable of much more and that small loss of control did that much It scared me that I could hurt the only person I have ever cared about that much. I wanted to protect you and you know what there isn't anything here for me and there never was" she said softly. She got up walking away "running away from you may have been the hardest and most painful thing I've ever done but now I realize it was also the smartest.I loved you then more than you knew and I haven't had a decent nights sleep since I left you have been in every dream since then but now I know I was a fool for having such feelings and you know what I won't ever make that mistake again. I never ever lied about any of my feelings to you but you are just so bitter and angry that you can't see what I feel and nor do you care. I know how much I hurt you but it didn't hurt me any less. But part of loving some one is the ability to do all you believe possible to protect them even if ti means to sacrifice your own happiness." she started to run she wiped the tears from her eyes and just kept running until she was several miles away. She climbed into a tree and just sat there she was shaking she had still had feelings for him and he had hurt her a great deal.

He growls as she left turning and touching a tree. There was a part of him that was sad to see her leave again but most of his being was so callused over with hate and anger that he barely noticed the sense of loss. He slipped into the tree once more moving quickly through the forest leaving this place of anger and pain behind. Not caring if he ever saw her again.

She sat there silently as the tears vanished she kept her eyes closed for a long moment she cracked her neck and when she opened them again they were a glowing bloodred. She closed her eyes she vanished then reappeared where she sensed him she grabbed him out of the tree and vanished once more taking him with her she appeared in an abandoned home outside of own she threw him hard against the wall raised a hand holding him up against the wall spread out leaving him completely open. "I loved you and you shunned me how dare you shun me after how I tried to protect you, you little weasel. And now you will see what I tried to keep from you"
